A Kingsport man accused of attacking a pregnant woman with a hatchet, causing injuries that led to the death of her fetus, was arraigned Monday in a Washington County courtroom on a murder charge.
A Washington County Criminal Court judge issued a blistering warning to all law enforcement agencies in the county — show up for their grand jury subpoenas or she’ll put them in jail.
The murders happened Dec. 3 at Robert Aaron and Kyanna Howes Vaughn’s 616 Friendship Court mobile home. Their bodies were found around 7 p.m. Dec. 4 by a friend who couldn’t reach them by phone and went to check on them.
A Johnson City man charged with vehicular homicide for a wreck that killed his friend was arraigned on the charge in Washington County Criminal Court on Monday after a grand jury indicted him earlier this month.
