BLOUNTVILLE — A man who allegedly tried to kill his former girlfriend and set fire to her Kingsport home has been arrested by police in Hamblen County.
The woman suffered second- and third-degree burns on her head, arms and torso. She later was flown by helicopter to Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville because of the seriousness of her injuries.
The 28-year-old man was charged with attempted first-degree murder. The victim was flown to JCMC.
ELIZABETHTON — Two more people were arrested Monday by the Elizabethton Police Department on charges of attempted murder and aggravated kidnapping of a local man.
