After a two-year wait because of the coronavirus pandemic, the J.I. Burton Hall of Fame inducted its classes of 2020 and 2021 on Saturday at Hotel Norton.

Inducted were Major Griffey, David Hill, Al Stecker, Kenny Stidham, James Anthony Caruso, Dr. Preston Miller Jr., Mark Neeley, Judge John Robert Stump and the 1952 Norton High School football team that won the District 8 and regional championships under coach Sam Lawson and assistant coach Bill Fitchko, for whom the Raiders’ stadium in named.

The Class of 2022 will be inducted this fall.
