Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park

ELIZABETHTON — Tennessee State Parks are offering everyone a chance to burn off a few calories on the day after Thanksgiving with guided hikes on park trails. Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park is offering one of these free guided hikes, but preregistration is required.

Park staff will lead this special guided interpretive walk through the grounds of Sycamore Shoals, and along portions of the walking path. The group will learn about the historical events that took place surrounding Sycamore Shoals and their significance to the formation of the state and country.
