Jonesborough woman charged with stealing $80,000 from Johnson City church

A Jonesborough woman has been charged with theft over $60,000 after stealing from a church where she worked, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

According to a press release from the TBI, an investigation beginning in August determined that Ashlee White, 44, made over $80,000 in personal charges on a credit card belonging to Grace Fellowship Church in Johnson City between January 2017 and July 2022. White worked at the church as an administrative assistant during that period.
