Bristol man charged with attempted murder

Police said that on Nov. 9 at 2:21 a.m., officers responded to a “shots fired” call at 1740 Nathaniel Drive. Upon arrival, officers found a man lying on the pavement with a gunshot wound to his lower abdomen.

According to the release, an investigation revealed Turner had fled to the Charlottesville, Virginia, area after the incident. Investigators said they were able to locate him there with the assistance of the Albemarle County Police Department.

On Jan. 6, Turner was released from the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail after waiving extradition. The news release said he was then transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he was being held on $100,000 bond.
