It’s almost Cgristmas time, folks, and while you shouldn’t tread willy-nilly into owning and caring for a new pet, you should definitely consider adding a new family member if you can do so responsibly.

Visit your local shelter, spend some time and money to help the staff, and venture into the world of rescue adoption. There’s no better feeling than knowing you just added value to the life of another being who richly deserves it.

This week’s Pets of the Week:

• Astrid, Mick, and Meyer are ten weeks old, very sweet and active, and ready to go home with you! They each have soft, black and white coats, great personalities, and a strong need to get OUT of their kennel and into your home. Visit these beautiful, young kittens and take them home.

• Lacie is a beautiful, young, female Pitbull mix who would make any family happy! She is a friendly, active cuddler who still needs a little training, but is definitely not lacking in cuteness, sweetness, or love. If you spend any time with this black and white beauty, there’s a very good chance you’re going to want to take her home!

• GiGi is a sweet, cuddly, loving tabby. She’s an adult, female domestic short hair, has been spayed, and deserves a good home. She is described as “a little sassy,” and if you like cats with a personality, she could be the one for you. Pay her a visit and see for yourself!

• Darla is a senior dog who would love to have a friendly place to call home, with a loving family willing to show her some love. A thirteen-year-old, spayed, female Spitz mix, this beautiful blond needs a place to lay her head in her last years. If you want to spend time with a wonderful dog, and show her the love she should receive, Darla could be the one. Take her home!
