Cline concert: Senior Services at Memorial Park Community Center, 510 Bert St., invites the public to enjoy Christian country music artist Shellem Cline, whose popular hit “Blue Jeans and Biscuits” won the 2017 Christian County Song of the Year. The free concert is from 3-4 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 8. ESL classes: Learn English TriCities is offering English as a second language for adults age 18 and older on Tuesdays from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Jonesborough Senior Center, 307 E. Main St., Jonesborough. Adults in the Tri-Cities area are invited to participate as student learners or as volunteers. Volunteers are needed to assist students in reading and communication. Preregistration is not required. The ESL class began in April 2017. The group is diverse in ages and levels of fluency with English and come from Puerto Rico, China, Russia, Vietnam and India. For information, call or text 423-360-1378; email [email protected] or visit Facebook.

Fundraiser: Good Samaritan Ministries, 100 N. Roan St., will host a fundraising dinner on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 6 p.m. for “Celebrate Life Program,” a community birthdays celebration. The mission is to raise money to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries for those who cannot do so for themselves. The cost is $35 and the dinner will be catered by Taste Budz.
