A Johnson City man was behind bars Friday morning after he allegedly shot at three people in a bar parking lot and hit one in the arm.

Todd Perkins, no age given, of 1804 Indian Ridge Road, Johnson City, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a handgun while under the influence and unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon.

Johnson City police responded to Tulips American Grub and Pub at 3002 E. Oakland Ave. on Thursday night about a shooting in the bar parking lot. The victims told police that Perkins shot at them six times. One person was hit in the right arm.

“The resulting investigation revealed that Todd Perkins was armed in the bar parking lot, drew his handgun, discharged his weapon while pointed at the victims, and appeared to be intoxicated at the time,” police said in a press release.

Friday morning, Perkins was being booked into the Washington County Detention Center on $72,000 bond. He will be arraigned on the charges Monday, according to the Washington County Sessions Court office.
