Johnson City police look for gunman after hotel shooting

Johnson City police sought the public’s help Sunday following a shooting at a Boones Creek hotel Saturday night.

About 9:30 p.m., police were called to Woodsprings Suites, 135 Pinnacle Drive, where one person was injured by glass broken in the shooting. The victim was taken to a hospital, treated and released.

Police said witnesses described the shooter as a black male who wore a black jacket and had his face covered. He left the area in a white car.
