Man charged with attempted 2nd-degree murder after Johnson City trailer park shooting

Johnson City police on Tuesday charged a man with attempted second-degree murder resulting from a weekend South Roan Street trailer park shooting.

Police found Billy L. Nave, 30, 2717 S. Roan St., after a caller advised he was seen in the area of South Broadway Street.

About 7:30 p.m. Saturday, the victim checked himself into Johnson City Medical Center with a gunshot wound in his shoulder. Police said the Nave shot the victim during a domestic violence incident at Lot 29 in the trailer park.

Nave was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center under $100,000 bond awaiting a Sessions Court appearance set for Wednesday.

Police had issued a request for public assistance with the case on Sunday.
