Recent felony arrest reports from Johnson City police:

Aggravated burglary and drugs: Johnson City police arrested April Metcalf, 40, 53 Memorial Ave., Mountain Home, on Tuesday after police said she was seen trying to enter an apartment at 401 W. Maple St. When police searched her, they found “various paraphernalia items, narcotics and illegal substances.” She was charged with aggravated burglary, simple possession, possession of methamphetamine and unlawful drug paraphernalia and held in the Washington County Detention Center on $14,000 bond. She was set to appear in Sessions Court Wednesday.

Gun at north Johnson City sports bar: When Johnson City police responded to a report about a fight in progress at OT Sports and Social on Sunday, security told them a man waved a gun at a crowd and began making threats. When police spoke with the man who matched the description, later identified as Calvin Phillips, 31, Kingsport, police said he became argumentative and fled on foot when officers tried to frisk him. After police detained him, they found a Smith and Wesson M&P in the nearby Applebee’s parking lot. Philips was charged with felony reckless endangerment, evading arrest, resisting stop frisk, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a handgun while under the influence. He was held in the Washington County Detention Center on $14,000 bond and appeared in Sessions Court Monday.

Failure to appear leads to DUI arrest: When a bail bondsman told Johnson City police about plans to arrest Talmadge Hughes, 100 N. Roan St., Sunday for failure to appear in court after being released on bail, Johnson City police located him driving without a seatbelt on South Roan Street. Police said he was intoxicated while driving. They checked his license and found that it was revoked in Unicoi County for previous DUIs. He was charged with his sixth DUI, driving on a revoked license and violation of seatbelt law. He was held in the Washington County Detention Center and appeared in Sessions Court Monday.

Aggravated assault arrest: When Johnson City police responded to a report about a domestic physical altercation early Friday morning, police said they discovered that John Stevens, 45, 3506 Bondwood Circle, had choked, pushed and struck the victim multiple times, causing “significant marks and bruises.” Stevens was charged with aggravated assault and held in the Washington County Detention Center on $10,000 bond. He appeared in Sessions Court on Friday.

Stolen vehicle and meth: On Oct. 24, Johnson City police stopped a vehicle reported stolen. Amy Hyder, 37, Jonesborough, was driving the vehicle with Jonathan Aloisia, 44, Limestone, as the passenger. Police said when they searched the vehicle, they found 24 grams of methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana and multiple drug paraphernalia items. Hyder was charged with possession of stolen property, two counts of simple possession, possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license. Aloisia was charged with possession of stolen property, possession of methamphetamine and possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia. Each was held in the Washington County Detention Center on $10,000 bond and appeared in Sessions Court Friday.
