This two-day instructor training course is designed to teach participants the skills and strategies to increase the chances of surviving the time between the beginning of an active shooter incident and the arrival of police. The strategies are intended for law enforcement, schools, universities, hospitals, businesses, and churches and other places of worship.
Those who complete the course will be a certified ALICE instructor and have the knowledge and resources to train others in their organization. They will also have access to ALICE resources.
ALICE stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate.
ALICE is aligned with recommendations from the Department of Justice, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Department of Education, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and many state government agencies.
Registration for the course can be made online at www.alicetraining.com. The early bird fee for the course is $595. After that, the fee will be $695. The deadline for the Early Bird fee has not yet been set.
