Couch shot: On Sunday, Johnson City police responded to 4 Mel Circle after a 911 call from someone reporting that a man shot a couch in an apartment at Tyler Apartments. The caller also told police that the man made threats toward people at the apartment complex. Police said they talked to a juvenile victim who said that a white man in a silver Volkswagen had pointed a black handgun at him. The boy said he feared for his life and ran into the apartment complex. Police said they later discovered Kenneth N. Bishop, 21, 2408 Huffine Circle, in a silver Volkswagen parked at the intersection of Cash Hollow Road and East Lakeview Drive. Witnesses identified Bishop. He was charged with aggravated assault and held in the Washington County Detention Center under $25,000 bond. He was set to appear in Sessions Court Monday.
Deck crash: On Sunday, Johnson City police tried to stop a vehicle on West State of Franklin Road over a headlight not working. Police said the driver did not stop and proceeded down the street before crashing into the deck of 300 Buffalo St. Krystal Davis, 35, 186 Charlie Carson Road, Jonesborough, was charged with evading arrest, driving on a revoked license multiple, failure to maintain financial responsibility and violation of the light law. She was arrested after being treated at the Johnson City Medical Center for minor injuries. She was held in the Washington County Detention Center under $12,000 bond and set to appear in Sessions Court Monday.
Domestic assault arrest: Johnson City police arrested a man Friday after responding to a report about an assault on Lakewood Drive. The victim told police Jason Q. Browning, 19, 52 Charleston Square, assaulted her at Charleston Square before she fled down the street to call police. Police said she had bruises on her neck, face and leg. She was evacuated by EMS and later released. Browning was later found at the Burger King on South Roan Street and charged with domestic aggravated assault. He was held in the Washington County Detention Center under $10,000 bond awaiting a Sessions Court appearance set for Monday.
