A Johnson City man threatened two relatives with a knife during an argument Thursday, police said, resulting in two felony charges.

Jewon Omar Gaines, 22, was arrested after police went to 1170 Snowden Terrace at about 5:30 p.m. The victims told police they had been arguing with Gaines when he picked up a knife and pointed it toward them in a threatening manner.

Police found Gaines on the house’s lower level. He was charged with two counts of aggravated domestic assault and jailed in the Washington County Detention Center under $5,000 bond. Gaines was set to appear Friday in Sessions Court.
