The Washington County Sheriff’s Office sought information Friday about an overnight robbery at a Limestone market.

The reported robbery was at Shorty’s Market off Highway 107 in Limestone, and an undetermined amount of cash was taken. There were no injuries, but one of the store’s owners was taken to the hospital to be checked out.

The Sheriff’s Office released surveillance video of the robbery.

Sheriff Ed Graybeal said an unknown man dressed in black and wearing a silver mask and gloves confronted the owners as they were closing for the night. The man then reportedly pointed a gun at them and demanded money from the safe. He was last seen in a vehicle traveling toward the Greene County line.

Anyone with information on the robbery should call the Sheriff’s Office at (423) 788-1414.
