Johnson City man arrested on drug, domestic assault charges

A Johnson City man was arrested Tuesday on multiple drug charges when police were called to his home about a possible domestic disturbance.

Randall K. Garner, 31, was charged with simple domestic assault, possession of a schedule IV drug for resale, simple possession of a schedule VI drug and possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia.

According to a press release, Johnson City police were called to Garner’s home at 310 E. Chestnut St. around 1 a.m.

Officers said Garner and another person were involved in the incident. During a search of the home, police said they found Garner in possession of a bag containing 28 Alprazolam, multiple baggies, a small bag of marijuana and a large sum of cash “consistent with the sale of illicit narcotics,” the press release stated.

Garner was taken to the Washington County Detention Center and held on $8,000 bond. He was scheduled to appear in Sessions Court Tuesday.
