The Johnson City Police Department sought help Friday in identifying the driver of a van involved in the Feb. 9 fatal hit-and-run of Brenda K. Maynor near the intersection of East Main and Bert streets.

A press release said the driver of the van hit Maynor crossing the road near the intersection around 9 p.m. Afterward, the van sped away down Bert Street before turning left on Orleans Street. Maynor was taken to Johnson City Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead from her injuries. Investigators identified the van as a gray 2003 to 2010 Nissan Quest.

Police said the van has stock wheels, a roof rack, and no running boards. The van has dark tinted windows and possible damage from the crash. A traffic camera captured video of the vehicle moments before the crash.

In a video the van is shown driving down City Garage Road before crossing onto the Main-Market throughway. The van stops at the Legion Street intersection before turning left onto East Main Street. According to investigators, this was moments before the van hit Maynor.
