A Johnson City woman was arrested Monday evening after she threatened to cut someone with a butcher knife, police said.

Ashley E. Douglass, 34, 404 Welbourne Lane, was charged with aggravated assault after officers responded to an incident in which a man accused Douglass of threatening him, police said in a news release.

According to the release, when officers arrived they were approached by a man who told them he went inside the residence where Douglass was to get some belongings for Douglass’ husband. The man told police that Douglass let him in, “locked the door, and then pulled a butcher knife on him and threatened to cut him for no reason.”

Officers arrested Douglass and she was taken to the Washington County Detention Center and held in lieu of $10,000 bond.
