A Limestone woman was charged with theft earlier this month, accused of embezzling $6,753.71 during her tenure as the treasurer for the Junior Pioneer football program.

A news release from Sheriff Ed Graybeal said an investigation showed Courtnay Shea Bradburn, 37, stole the money from the nonprofit youth football organization for children ages 5 to 12.

The sheriff said Bradburn was taken into custody at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and is out on $5,000 bond.
