Woman facing burglary, drug charges after vehicle gets stuck in mud

Johnson City police charged an Elizabethton woman with several offenses after her vehicle disabled and stuck in the mud Saturday afternoon.

According to a Johnson City Police Department report, officers were called to a report of a burglary in progress in the 500 block of Orchard Drive around 12:02 p.m. When officers arrived, they made contact with Michelle Hoss, 21, 133 Crickett Lane, Elizabethton, at the rear of the residence, where her disabled vehicle was stuck in mud.

Police said an investigation revealed Hoss had items from the residence in her vehicle. As officers searched her, incidentally to her arrest, drug paraphernalia was also located.

Hoss was charged with aggravated burglary, theft of property and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was being held on $22,000 bond in the Washington County Detention Center with her arraignment set for 10:30 a.m. Monday in Sessions Court.
