Johnson City police seeking bank robber

Johnson City police are seeking a man who robbed a bank on the Bristol Highway Friday afternoon.

According to information released by the city department, a white man, 35 to 45 years old with a medium build and a gray goatee walked into Mountain Commerce Bank, 3122 Bristol Highway, at 3 p.m. and demanded money from a bank employee. The man was wearing a black ball cap, a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans, athletic shoes and glasses.

Witnesses last saw him running south from the bank through a neighboring parking lot.
