A Jonesborough man was arrested Tuesday on charges that he fired shots at two people on Cherokee Road in Johnson City a day earlier, police said in a news release.

Andre Spillman, 20, 143 Timber Ridge Road, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

Monday morning, police were called to a residence on Cherokee, where the two people reported that a man had fired several rounds at them from the road. Police found shell casings in the road and the residence’s parking area. The release did not specify an address or identify the alleged victims.

Spillman was identified as the shooter, police said, and he was found Tuesday at his residence in Jonesborough.

He was held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $20,000 bond with a Sessions Court appearance set for Wednesday.
