A Greeneville man was arrested Tuesday in connection with an October auto burglary, Johnson City police said.

On Oct. 21, police received a report about a debit card stolen from a car. The card was used that same night at Walmart on West Market Street. Police said the investigation revealed Tyler Ray Knight, 27, 106 Elk St., Greeneville, as the main suspect.

Knight was taken into custody from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, where he was being held on unrelated charges. He was charged with auto burglary, identity theft, theft under $1,000 and credit card fraud under $1,000 and held in the Washington County Detention Center on $22,000 bond.

He was set to appear in Sessions Court Wednesday.
