Johnson City man, 18, charged with auto burglaries

A Johnson City teen was arrested Wednesday on charges that he burglarized several vehicles parked at a condominium complex in April.

Matthew Woodyard, 18, 128 Cedar Grove Road, was charged with three counts each of auto burglary and theft under $1,000.

On April 25, police began investigating complaints from Bentley Parc Condominiums on Pickens Bridge Road, where residents reported that their vehicles had been burglarized. Police said the identified Woodyard in the investigation.

He was held at the Washington County Detention Center on $20,000 bond awaiting a Sessions Court appearance set for Friday.
