A man posted a stolen bike for sale on social media, and the victim saw it, leading to the seller’s arrest Thursday, Johnson City police said in a news release.

The bike was stolen June 2 from a Wilson Avenue residence, and days later, the victim found that his bicycle was for sale on a social media site.

Police were able to recover the bike and identify the seller as Greeneville resident Domanic Rahn, 19.

Rahn was charged with possession of stolen property valued over $1,000. He was held in the Washington County Detention Center on $5,000 bond awaiting a Sessions Court appearance set for Friday.
