Washington County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to the location of the stolen car, a 2018 Kia Stinger, on Saturday. The vehicle was parked in the driveway of 317 Bulldog Miller Road, Jonesborough, and Shaffer was found inside the residence. The car was recovered and taken to the WCSO impound lot.
He was charged with possession of stolen property and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he was given a bond of $10,000.
Shaffer also was arrested in October on two counts of aggravated burglary, one count of burglary, one count of theft over $1,000, one count of theft of vehicle parts over $1,000, two counts of motor vehicle theft and one count of vandalism over $1,000 after he allegedly had stolen a car from a Johnson City Kia dealership.
Shaffer was scheduled to appear in Sessions Court on Monday.
