ELIZABETHTON — A prisoner in the Carter County Jail is facing additional charges after he allegedly vandalized a shower system Sunday.

Deputy Cody Locklear said several inmates in Delta Block were on lockdown. He said several inmates had requested a shower, but the water had been turned off at that time to prevent flooding.

Locklear said prisoner Antony Holsclaw “forcefully activated the shower system,” causing damage.

Locklear said the cost of repairs included a sprinkler head valued at $72.50 and $17.25 for installation labor; $127.29 in material to paint the cell and $34.50 in labor to paint it. The total cost was $251.54.
