A man tried to break a car window using a miniature baseball bat while two people were inside the vehicle Thursday, Johnson City police said.

Joseph M. Sable, 33, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

Police were called about 4 p.m. to Sable’s residence at 7 State Place, where they learned he had been arguing with the mother of his child and an acquaintance of both.

Police said he took a miniature baseball bat out of his backpack and struck the driver’s side window as the two drove away.

Sable was held in the Washington County Detention Center on $10,000 bond and arraigned Friday in Sessions Court.
