A Greeneville man was arrested Monday after making a false report about a stolen vehicle, Johnson City police said.

Police said Rodney Poling, 24, called 911 to report his vehicle stolen, but after investigating, police learned Poling had traded the vehicle. Police said Poling no longer wanted the vehicle he traded for and wanted police to get his old vehicle back.

Poling was charged with false reporting. He was held in the Washington County Detention Center on $2,000 bond and set to appear in Sessions Court on Tuesday.
