An Elizabethton man was arrested Tuesday on three counts of selling marijuana and two counts of violating the drug-free school zone law, according to Johnson City police.

Police said a recent investigation revealed that Kobe Byrd, 18, Elizabethton, sold marijuana to someone working for police on three occasions. Two of those transactions, according to police, took place within 1,000 feet of a school.

Byrd was held in the Washington County Detention Center on $30,000 bond. He was set to appear in Sessions Court Wednesday.
