Johnson City Police arrest fugitive from Newport, Virginia

A man wanted as a fugitive in Newport, Virginia, was arrested by Johnson City police early Monday morning after officers investigated a report of people staying in a building under construction. 

According to police, officers discovered that one of the people at the location, Robert Wayne Ingram, 52, had an extraditable warrant for grand larceny dating back to March 23.

After the warrant was confirmed, Ingram was arrested and taken to the Washington County Detention Center where he was held without bond. He was set to appear in Sessions Court Tuesday.
