A man was arrested Friday afternoon after police said he was responsible for catching a vehicle on fire in the parking lot of Little Caesars on South Roan Street.

Adam Joshua Porter, 31, was charged with one count of arson, reckless endangerment and auto burglary.

Porter was reportedly seen running from the vehicle soon after it caught fire. Police later found Porter in a nearby field and determined he started the fire, a press release said.

Porter was taken to the Washington County Detention Center and held on $21,000 bond. He has a Sessions Court date set for Monday at 1:30 p.m.
