State charges man with arson, insurance fraud in Baileyton fire

A Hawkins County man has been charged with arson and insurance fraud resulting from a fire set a year ago in Baileyton.

Kenneth Rader, 58, Mount Carmel, also was charged with reckless endangerment and filing a false report related to the Jan. 11, 2015, fire at 920 Bailey St., in Baileyton.

State Bomb and Arson investigators, along with along with Baileyton and Mount Carmel police, arrested Rader on Jan. 5, according to a news release from the Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance. 

He was taken to the Greene County Jail by Baileyton Police and held on $62,000 bond.
