Sarah Marie Howell and Michael David Ritchie were married Saturday, May 30, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church in Johnson City. 

The Rev. Randy Hensley officiated the 5 p.m. exchange of vows.

Music was provided by Maki Bayard, pianist; Laura Champouillon, organist; and Georgia Sinko-Cox, cellist.

The bride is a daughter of Jane and Dr. Mark Howell, 117 Ridgemont Road, Johnson City.

She is a granddaughter of the late Roy and Mary Huskey; and the late Robert and Marie Howell.

The groom is a son of David and Debbie Ritchie, 540 Morning Mist Court, Alpharetta, Ga.

He is a grandson of the late Thomas O’Connor; Patricia O’Connor, Sapphire, N.C.; Harold Ritchie, Lakeland, Fla.; and the late Lois Jean Ritchie.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory gown in all-over lace, featuring a V-shaped neckline and sculpted low back encrusted with Swarovski crystals.

Matron of honor was Laura Howell.

Maid of honor was Catherine Jordan.

Bridesmaids were Douglas Frye, Laura Guigou, Christina Howell, Bethany Hyman, Stefanie Korczyk, Kristin Ritchie and Amy Turk.

Honorary bridesmaid was Michelle Shelton.

Flower girl was Alivia Farris.

Ring bearer was Ethan Farris.

David Ritchie, father of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Edwin Halkyard IV, Brent Cash, Michael Foushee, Samuel Green, Daniel Guigou, Zachary Howell, Steven Johnson and Paul Sansom. 

Ushers were John Crupie and Chad Mills.

Readers were Lemy Dao and Krista Szaflarski.

Greeters were Meagan O’Connor and Cailin O’Connor.

Following a reception at the Blackthorn Club, the couple took a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
