Sara Elizabeth Hames and Robert Houston Core Jr. were married Friday, April 24, 2015, at Summerfield Farms, Summerfield, N.C. 

Jimmy Renslow, minister at Church of the Redeemer, officiated the 6 p.m. exchange of vows.

Music was provided by Lowland Hum.

The bride is a daughter of John and Vicky Hames, Gray.

She is a granddaughter of Velma Norton, and the late William A. Norton Jr.; and the late Lewis Hames and Juanita Cannon.

The groom is a son of Robert Houston Core and Ann Thomsson, both of Greensboro, N.C.  

He is a grandson of Helen Gunter Core, Greensboro, N.C., and the late Delmas Houston Core; and Margaret Hartman Reilly, Greensboro, N.C., and the late John Francis Reilly.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.

Matron of honor was Rachel Goans Lynam. Maid of honor was Elspeth Glasgow.

Bridesmaids were LeNeé DeMotte; Alison Core Dyer, sister of the groom; Arielle Faith; Megan Gilchrist; Taylor Logan and Katie Parrott.

Ring bearers were Alden, Marshall and Miles Dyer, nephews of the groom.

Robert Core, father of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were Matthew Dyer, Leo Freitas, Daniel Goans, Luke Logan, Chad Lynam, Charles Miller, Scott Phillips, K.T. Powell and Stephen Thomsson.

Following a reception at Summerfield Farms, the couple took a wedding trip to Whitby Beach, North Caicos Island.

The couple will reside in Greensboro, N.C.
