The Science Hill High School Band recently had its inaugural community outreach at Dominion Senior Living and the Washington County/Johnson City Animal Shelter.

Some volunteer students interacted with residents at Dominion by socializing and playing bingo along with other games, while others helped and played with the dogs and cats at the animal shelter.

This event fulfilled the values the Science Hill Band places on giving back to Johnson City and returning the support it receives from the community. The Science Hill Band is under the direction of Carson Vermillion and Dan McGuire.

The 2015-16 student officers are Kindyl King (president), Wesley Bolton (vice president), Will Beaudry (treasurer), Catherine McCoy (secretary) and Katie Cundiff (member at large).
