JCSO presents Tchaikovsky’s 'Nutcracker'

Contributed • Dec 12, 2019 at 8:43 AM

This season, the Johnson City Symphony Orchestra is partnering with the East Tennessee Ballet Academy to present Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker.”

There are two chances to see this rare collaboration: Saturday, Dec. 14, 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 15, 2 p.m. Bring the whole family to experience “The Nutcracker” how Tchaikovsky envisioned it – fully staged and elegantly choreographed, with a full symphony orchestra. Don’t miss this holiday favorite.

Until Dec. 15, the Johnson City Symphony Orchestra will be collecting toys for the Toys for Tots annual campaign. Bring a new, unwrapped toy to their office at 172 W. Springbrook Drive in Johnson City. The collection will culminate on Dec.15 with a matinee performance. The performances will be held at Milligan College’s Seeger Chapel in Elizabethton. Tickets are $10 for students and $35 for adults.

For more information about ordering tickets, visit www.jcsymphony.com or call the Symphony office at 423-926-8742.
