Johnson City Community Theatre continues 2019 season

The Johnson City Community Theatre’s exciting year continues with Noel Coward's “Blithe Spirit,” a 1941 comedy directed by Will Oliver that’s sure to leave viewers in high spirits.

Show dates and times for this ongoing production are Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., June 20 at 7:30 pm., June 21 at 7:30 p.m., June 22 at 7:30 p.m. and June 23 at 2 p.m.

“How I Learned to Drive” will be this year’s Johnson City Community Theatre Spotlight Show. The play, described as “one of the most discomforting love stories in American theater,” will be held Sept. 12 to Sept. 15. On Sept. 12, 13 and 14, the show will be held at 7:30 p.m. On the 15th, the show will be held at 2 p.m. Auditions will be held June 30 and July 1 at 7 p.m. 

Later this season, the cult classic “Rocky Horror Show” will return to Johnson City Community Theatre’s stage from Oct. 18 to Nov. 2. Auditions will be held on Aug. 11, 12 and 29 at 7 p.m.

Holiday favorite “A Christmas Carol,” directed by Melanie Headen, will be closing this year’s season from Dec. 5 to Dec. 22. Auditions will be held Sept 15 and 16 at 7 p.m.
