‘Sense and Sensibility’ to close out ETSU Theatre and Dance season(copy)

The Department of Theatre and Dance at East Tennessee State University will present the classic story “Sense and Sensibility” on April 11-14.

Performances are Thursday through Saturday, April 11-13, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 14 at 2 p.m.

Written by Kate Hamill and based on the Jane Austen novel, the story follows the Dashwood sisters, Elinor and Marianne, and their recently widowed mother as they embark on a new journey in life where they experience love, romance and heartbreak.

Directed by ETSU faculty member Herb Parker, the cast includes Taylor Hutchison, Abigail Brown, Gracie Fulghum, Donna Paulsen, Kaleb Stone, Charles Meeks, Erin Teaster, Hunter Thomas, Madison Phillips and Luke Walker.

The artistic team also includes Cara Harker and Jen Kintner, choreographers; Alex White, stage manager; Jonathon Taylor, scenic designer; Andrea Greer, assistant scenic designer; Beth Skinner, costume designer; Claire Johnston, assistant costume designer; Melissa Shafer, lighting designer; Matt Stevens, assistant lighting designer; Braylee Polson, hair and makeup designer; Andrea Marshall, costume crafts designer; Zach Olsen, technical director; Dylan Weston, assistant technical director; Kallie Jenkins, assistant stage manager; Kenny Tyler Mitchell, wardrobe supervisor; Kim Ireson, Rachel Lawson and Eulalah Prater, wardrobe assistants; Madisen Evans, lighting technician; Laura Watson, audio technician; and Joe Clark and Ezekiel McClure, production assistants.
