Bonnie Kate offering two summer camps for acting in June and July

ELIZABETHTON — The Bonnie Kate Theater will be hosting two Summer Youth Theater Camps this summer.

The Fairy Tale Music Theater Camp will be featuring “Snow White and the Dancing Dwarfs” for ages 6-12. The camp will run from June 11-15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

The program is a week of theater education and musical experience while acting out the play based on “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” There will be dancing, of course. The week will be led by Marcia Ross, Christy Alaska Vance and musician Susan Heaton. The camp will end with performances on June 16 at 2:30 p.m. and on June 17 at 2:30 p.m.

The cost for the week is $120.

Registration can be done at [email protected] or at the door of the theater during camp time. The Bonnie Kate is located at 115 S. Sycamore St. in downtown Elizabethton.

In July, the Summer Youth Theater Camp at the Bonnie Kate will feature a two-week intensive theater camp July 9-22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. The camp is four students ages 7 to 18.

The two-week camp will be led by Christy Alaska Vance and RaChelle Cheeks. It is offered to students who wish to develop their acting abilities. At the end of the camp, students will perform a full-length world premiere play.

Performances will be July 20 and July 21 at 7 nightly. The cost of the camp is $225.
