Laine Arnold, Lee’s spokeswoman, told The Tennessean she would “follow up at a later time” when asked this week about the commission.
Arnold had told reporters earlier this year the governor was busy creating his budget proposal, but said Lee planned on appointing new commission members.
Lee has not done so since taking office.
The Capitol Commission is one of the few entities that has authority to consider removing or adding context to Nathan Bedford Forrest bust.
The bust has been at the center of multiple protests.
