Pets of the Week

Jared Bentley • Mar 11, 2020 at 12:06 PM

Things were looking up when I visited the shelter this week - the continuous rain had stopped long enough to walk some dogs, and the break in the weather began to bring in a few more guests. As spring approaches, however, the numbers of potential pets increases at your local shelters, as more and more puppies and kittens join the ranks of our region’s homeless animals.

Please - help all you can, and try to ensure that as many animals as possible have a home, or at least a good meal and a warm place to spend the night. If you could share some love and put a roof over their heads, though, that sure would be nice of you.

This week’s Pets of the Week:

• Plinty has plenty going for him. A one-year-old, neutered, male domestic short hair, this gray Tabby is a very happy, young fella. He is sweet, friendly, loving and outgoing, and he would love the opportunity to go home with you today.

• Sabrina is a beautiful, three-year-old, female, brown-and-white hound who loves to play and cuddle. She is super sweet and very attentive, and wants to go home with a family that likes to be active, especially if they have kids she can continue to grow and play with. Take her home!

• Scooter is all about people, and all about the attention. He is a one-year-old, male domestic medium hair, and he loves to be active. He is currently under dietary restrictions, and has to have special food for a while, but that should soon cease for this gray and white fella full of personality. Pay him a visit!

• Daisy needs some training, but she is ready and willing to take on the challenge. A one—year-old, female, tri-color Beagle mix, she loves to be around people and other dogs (no cats yet), and she has a lot of love and energy to share. She loves to be active, and she hopes to go to a home that allows her to run and play and share some love. Let it be your house!
