Pets of the Week

I spent more time in the front half of the shelter on my latest visit, taking time to meet some cats and rabbits along the way. While I consider myself a dog guy, there are always some wonderful felines and exotics who need homes as well, and more than a handful who touch my heart on my weekly visits.

I thought I’d use this week’s photo opportunity to highlight a few. This week’s Pets of the Week:

• Pickle is a brown, adult, long ear rabbit with personality. A little hesitant (as all rabbits are), she warmed up over time and became very friendly and outgoing during our visit. She’s a pretty girl with a healthy appetite and a need to find a good home - if you have the room and the time to take care of her, please let her know - and take her home!

• Mystic is a very sweet, very cute, two year old, female domestic short hair with lots of love to give. She is a white and gray tabby, and enjoys being held and touched and sharing affection, so if you’re a loving sort, she would be perfect for your home and family. Pay her a visit soon!

• Lizzie is a one-and-a-half-year-old, female domestic short hair and she wants out! With loads of personality and joy to share and to give, she was adamant about getting out of her cage and visiting with the people in attendance - this orange and white tabby needs freedom, love, and family. Make that happen!
• Meryl is one of the sweetest cats I’ve met at the shelter, and is also one of the most laid back and well-behaved. She is a dark gray, adult, female tabby and she’s very happy spending time with anyone who shares her love of quiet, tender moments. She would be the perfect cat for someone looking to chill at home with a good friend.
