Pets of the Week

Beautiful days call for beautiful actions, and I can’t think of many better activities than spending time with a new friend —whether that be a friend with two legs or four.

If you’re the type of person who prefers the company of a good pet, or feels the need to help when friends are in need, they sure could use you at your local shelter. If you have time, patience, or anything you wish to donate, make plans to do it. They can always use the help, and the animals can always use the company. And a home.

This week’s Pets of the Week:

• Sasha is a happy doge. She loves being around people, and for a short time today she was loved and happy —what she really needs is someone to make her feel that way all the time. She is an adult, spayed, female, black and white Pitbull mix who loves playing and staying active. She is super sweet, but can be a bit jealous of other dogs. She would be a great pet for someone with older kids who could run with her and keep her out and about!

• Maple is a cute little thing, a black and brown, nine-month-old, female Torbie who adores people and loves to be held. She is a little scared still, but warms up quickly, and she would love to show you her lovable attitude. Come on down for a visit, and take her home.

• Anderson is a handsome fella, and just about the friendliest dog I’ve met at one of our local shelters. He is a big boy with a great tan and white coat, and would be the perfect loving dog for any home. An adult male, he has been neutered - but that doesn’t mean he isn’t active. He loves to run, and given the chance at the shelter, he will try to take his leash and escape. So, please - give him somewhere warm and open to escape to. Take him home.

* Alexandra is living in a kennel at the shelter with her two siblings, and the three gray Tabbies would really like to find a home together. She is a beautiful, three-month-old beauty and loves attention - as do the others as well. If you have the space and time for Alexandra (or her sisters), please make plans to pay her a visit soon!
