Pets of the Week

The holiday season rolling around means you can count a lot of things - family, good cheer, good food (too much), and good pets who need a home.

Just because it’s Christmas time doesn’t mean all creatures received the gift they treasured most. Many among us are simply looking for a safe, warm place to lay our heads - these animals included.

Make that dream a reality, folks. Visit your local shelter and take a deserving pert home today.

This week’s Pets of the Week:

• Louise is a six-month-old, spayed female who loves to be held. She is still very young and scared, but friendly enough to cuddle up and smile for the camera. A brown and gray Torbie, this domestic short hair would make a wonderful addition to any family - let it be yours! Come visit, and take her home today.

• Bach is not quite as musical as his namesake, but he does like to talk. A black, adult, male domestic long hair, he is curious, yet laid back. He loves to be held, and enjoys being the center of attention. Give him a shot at your house, and see if you enjoy him as much as he’ll enjoy you.

• Roosevelt is a cute little thing. A snow white, adult male Poodle mix, he is very sweet and loving. Hesitant to immediately make new friends, he is quick to extend a paw once you gain his trust, and his friendly nature rubs off just as quickly, creating smiles and hugs and laughs for those around him. Take him home and see for yourself.

• Batman is a jet black, one-year-old, male Beagle/Lab mix who is just as friendly and curious as he is dark and handsome. He showed love to everyone who came his way during my visit, and his sweetness was contagious and evident. If you get a chance to visit, it will be hard to walk by and not want to take him home —spend a little time with him when you can!
