Pets of the Week

A visit to the Elizabethton shelter is always a good reminder that smaller shelters can thrive, if given resources and the right staff. The folks there do a fine job, and take care of the dogs and cats who are waiting on a family and a home. You should definitely pay them a visit when you get a chance!

This week’s Pets of the Week:

• Landon is a big, handsome boy. A five-year-old, white and brown, male Pitbull mix, he is the picture of calm and sweetness. He is attentive and observant, and really appreciated any attention paid to him as well. If you have the room and the time for a new dog, this fella could be a great addition to your home and family.

• Clark is a very good looking, red and white, young adult male Red Heeler mix. He’s smart and obedient, active and fun, and ready to go home with you. All you have to do is pay him a visit and fall in love.

• Winston is a wonderful, young, male Beagle mix who loves people and being outside. A two-year-old, tri-color beauty, he loves to play and be with people or other animals, and I could easily see him being a big part of your life —come on down and make that happen!

• Harley is the lucky girl at the shelter today! A black and white, female Boxer mix, this young lady found herself being adopted as I was leaving the shelter. She is very sweet, with a happy-go-lucky demeanor, and now she has good reason for it - a wonderful, loving, new family!

You can visit the Elizabethton/Carter County Animal Shelter at 135 Sycamore Shoals Road, Elizabethton, or call them at 423-547-6359.
