Pets of the Week

There might not have been a huge crowd at the shelter today, but it seemed like a good crowd.

New volunteers. People spending quality time with animals. People looking to adopt. The kind of crowd that puts a smile on your face as you walk through and hear conversations about adoption and volunteering.

It makes me think these guys are in good hands, and more hopeful that they’ll find a home

Pets of the Week:

• Gizmo is a handsome, black and gray Schnauzer mix who is not enjoying his time behind bars. An adult male, he is a little nervous with all the people and noise, and is having a hard time adjusting - and who could blame him? Not the best dog with kids or cats, he did seem to do very well with the adults in the room, and would make a wonderful addition to your home.

• Callie is a tan and gray, adult female Calico who loves to be held and touched. This domestic short hair adores human contact, and curls up immediately —she has no problem whatsoever getting comfortable with someone willing to giver her some attention. She would be an amazing addition to a family looking for a loving feline.

• Cosmo is an adorable, adult female Pitbull mix who stole my heart as soon as I turned the corner to her kennel. She was very patient, extremely loving, and overwhelmingly sweet with people who visit - she would be a perfect addition to any family, especially an active group who would take her along for the ride. She is black and white, and full of excitement and fun —pay her a visit and take her home!

• Pi is a gray, adult male domestic short hair who likes to take things slowly, and then once you have him in your hands, you can’t let go. He is a light gray Tabby with a very friendly personality and a fun and curious side, but he can also find the quiet space and lay back. I have a feeling he’ll work with you, whatever the mood. Come see for yourself!
