They don’t have room for dogs at the shelter, either, but the cats are sharing kennel space in multiples, and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight - they have had to halt intakes and stop bringing in animals just to try and keep pace with the demand. That’s why this week’s Pets of the Week are all cats - because they need to be highlighted.
• Harper is a very sweet, extremely active, eight-week-old, gray Tabby who loves people and playing games. A shiny-coated domestic short hair, she is attractive and loving, and would make the perfect new pet for someone who loves cats. Take her home!
• Cruella is far from cruel, and has none of the negative aspects of the evil character’s personality - she is sweet, loving, and ready to go home with you. A mother whose kittens have all been adopted, she has become the “shelter cat” in a sense, and is allowed to roam freely. She is a white and gray Calico, and has years of good companionship ahead of her —take her home!
• Ripple is a beautiful, black and white four-month-old, female domestic short hair who love the new structure inside, and the fact that she can run freely within the cat room. She is very vocal and playful, and had a great interaction with visitors during my time at the shelter - she would make someone a wonderful friend for years to come.
• Mr. Bean loves to play, loves to be held, and loves to be a part of what’s going on around him. He is every bit a boy, and enjoys games and attention as you would expect. A four-month-old gray, tan, and black Torbie, he is looking for the perfect family to live with - it could be you and yours, so come on down and spend some time with Mr. Bean!
