Shelter Director Shannon Posada and her staff work very hard to provide the animals housed here with the best possible life they can. There’s a lot of attention and love given, and a lot of familiarity developed between the people and the animals, which makes for a great dynamic during my visits — I get to see which dog or cat has made an impression that week.
This week’s Pets of the Week:
• Taylor is a brindle and tan, three-month-old female Husky mix who loves people, and getting outside. An active dog in search of a home full of active, loving people, she would be the perfect dog for a youngster to grow up with. Come visit Taylor!
• Tyler is Taylor’s twin brother from the same litter. A handsome young male, he is black with brindle and has a very sweet disposition. Abandoned with no information, the two are close and sweet with one another - you should visit and see for yourself!
• Fiona is a very tired three-year-old female Plott Hound with a litter of ten of the most adorable pups you will ever see. She is scared and uncomfortable at the shelter, but it hasn’t made her any less sweet, or any less of a mother. She is attentive and giving, and loves her little ones as much as she can - and they are adorable, beautiful, and needy. A big fan of human contact, I am sure that Fiona would be a wonderful addition to any home - especially yours. Especially if you could take her pups home as well!
• Bongo is a three-year-old neutered male domestic short hair with a tan coat and a curious disposition. He is very bold, sweet, and loving, and would make a perfect companion for anyone, really - young or old. In my time at the shelter, he was extremely interested in everything around him, and overly friendly to all visitors. He should go home with you. Really.
